Overview

The Bartow, FL Facility is seeking a Facility Technician who will be responsible for completing all assigned plant duties in a safe and responsible manner. This includes loading and unloading trucks, pumping liquid from drums, cleaning drums and totes for reuse, general housekeeping, and maintaining compliance with waste storage.

This position is on 2nd shift, Monday-Friday with overtime opportunities available.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner always.
• Load and unload totes and drums of waste destined to and from the Baltimore Facility.
• Pumping of waste drums using pneumatic double-diaphragm pumps and hoses.
• Rinsing and cleaning of drums and totes to return for customer distribution.
• Sampling of tanker truck once filling is completed.
• Communicating with Laboratory and Operations Manager of tank levels and pumpable inventory.
• General housekeeping within the plant and keeping the work area clean.
• Ensure proper labeling of all waste containers.
• Use scan tool to scan barcodes and labels of containers pumped and in inventory.

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in English language.
• Knowledge of forklift operations.
• Ability to work with manual dexterity in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to follow SOP’s and wear always required PPE.
