The Opportunity

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB (98SFH) Suncor Fort Hills is looking for Heavy Equipment Operators (Caterpillar Vac) to join their safety conscious team! This position requires a Class 5 license.
 
Please be advised it is mandatory for candidates to hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO or CSTS safety certifications prior to starting this position. Proof of certifications will be requested during the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Responsible for safely and efficiently operating units;
  • Ensures cleanliness of equipment;
  • Completes all required paperwork;
  • Attends daily safety meetings;
  • Working as a part of a team with Customer, Coworkers & Supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Class 5 Driver’s License required;
  • Minimum of 1-year experience on off road CAT Vac Units preferred OR 3+ years of experience operating other yellow iron equipment;
  • Minimum of 1-year oilfield or labor-intensive experience;
  • Open mine driving experience and certification required;
  • Ability to lift 50lbs regularly throughout the day, working under minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
  • Capable of working outside in various weather conditions.
