The Opportunity

Our Guelph, ON Branch is looking for a Field Service Technician I! The Field Service Technician is associated with hazardous waste clean up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and the handling of hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Operates light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, vacuum trucks, and equipment, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, ect;
• Performs emergency response activities including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination;
• Handles various hand tools and powered industrial tools, including pressure washers and saws;

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred;
• Previous related field labour/hazardous waste removal experience;
• Ability to travel; this position requires 40% travel for extended periods;
