Overview

The Opportunity 

Clean Harbors Hinton, AB is looking for a Labourer to join their safety conscious team! This position requires the candidate to safely perform labor tasks including, but not limited to - rigging in and out, chaining up, working at heights, high-pressure water blasting up to 40k PSI and assisting with job site preparation.

Please be advised it is mandatory for candidates to hold valid First Aid and H2S Alive safety certifications prior to starting this position. Proof of certifications will be requested during the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Operates and stages various units (i.e., High-Pressure, Hydrovac, Combo and Vac);
  • Perform general labor duties as assigned, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and high-pressure water blasting equipment with PSI up to 40k;
  • Work as part of a team with Clients, Co-workers & Supervisors. 

Qualifications

  • Class 5 driver's license required;
  • Must have reliable vehicle to drive to Hinton, AB;
  • Safety Tickets required: First Aid with CPR and H2S Alive;
  • Other safety tickets preferred, extra training to be provided by branch;
  • Previous Vacuum Truck and/or High-Pressure unit operating experience an asset;
  • Willing to work 10–12-hour shifts;
  • Willing to work night shifts when required;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
