Overview

HydroChemPSC located in Redwood City, CA is looking for a Facility Equipment Operator II working in the Waste Water treatment area to join their safety conscious team.

This position requires availability to start at various times; working 10-12 hour days as needed. Start times could be 6am; 8am; 10am; or 3pm depending on need of the business. We want a candidate who has a flexible schedule.

Pay Rate: $30 HR

Position Summary:

The Facility Equipment Operator II is responsible for the safe and proper operations of a waste water treatment plant and equipment. This position operates, monitors, maintains and trouble shoots the treatment facility, its processes and other equipment.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including hands-on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions;
• Hands-on operation of the waste water plant equipment and processes;
• Operation of special equipment, such as pumps;
• Operate equipment according to procedures and safe practices;
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job;
• Performs all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations;
• May assist with the installation and inspections of waste lines and services;
• May perform the installation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant and pump stations and all of their components;
• Performs regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery;
• Responds to emergencies at the plant and pump stations;
• Operate forklifts, bobcats or other equipment as needed;
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

• High school diploma /GED required;
• Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs is preferred;
• Experience operating a forklift and/or bobcat is required;
• 1+ years of waste water treatment experience is preferred;
• Valid Driver's License is required;
• Waste Water Treatment license is preferred but not required;
• Ability to work flexible schedule is required.
