Overview

Responsibilities

Our new branch in Seattle, WA is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. This position will be responsible for loading and unloading drums containing hazardous waste as well as tagging and weighing drums to build shipment loads. This individual will also be responsible for supervising the Shipping and Receiving Technicians.

Pay:  $ - Pay:  Depending on experience:  Competitive wages based on experience

Hours: Monday through Friday day shift with occasional weekend work as needed.

  • 2+ years forklift experience
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Good communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Day-to-day planning, transfer coordination and execution of proper paperwork for hazardous waste drum management
  • Forecasts outbound waste shipments based on incoming waste shipments               
  • Loads and unloads drums from trucks
  • Weighs and labels drums 
  • Monitors and insures that all key deadlines are met and proper follow-up is implemented to insure proper drum transfer compliance requirements
  • Operates forklift on a day to day basis
  • Some overtime will be required as needed.  

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • 1+ years of shipping and receiving/warehousing experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability and willingness to perform manual labor duties
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred; forklift certification is an asset
  • Previous drum handling experience preferred
  • 40 Hour Hazwoper Certification is an asset
