Overview

The Opportunity

HPC Industrial is looking for an Equipment Operator. Based out of Clute, TX, as a Vacuum Truck Operator you will be responsible for performing duties associated with shutdown work at refineries, chemical plants, power plants, and support other industrial customers. Depending on location, drivers may be asked to perform the duties of a field technician if business needs warrant it.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Performs industrial tank cleaning, utility work, facility shutdowns, emergency response, site remediation;
  • Vehicles operated, but not limited to Vacuum Trucks, Cusco, Air Movers, Guzzlers and Roll offs;
  • Ability to be on call for emergency response (rotation schedule will vary by branch);
  • Project work may require out of town travel for two weeks or more;
  • Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports.

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Class B CDL required for all level I Operators;
  • Tanker and Hazmat endorsements strongly preferred (Ability to obtain upon hire - Reimbursements Available!);
  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions;
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the year based on project needs;
  • TWIC may be required
