Overview

2ND SHIFT- 2:30 PM- 11:30 PM

As a Receiving Chemist II you will be responsible for working in the facility drum warehouse to complete sampling, coding and routing of the drums. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Receives all containers and properly codes all chemicals for disposal processing.
  • Performs consolidation of drums for final disposal as needed.
  • Manages or oversees cylinders in/out of facilities.
  • Samples all incoming drums and performs basic analysis of samples following prescribed procedures.
  • Confirms that all drums are properly and accurately coded for routing and billing according to protocol.
  • Ensures all drums are assigned the proper disposal process and/or outbound profile.
  • Proper management and shipment of all drum and bulk outbound shipments.
  • Maintains a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health & Safety and Compliance protocols.
  • Completes all associated paperwork and ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines.


Key Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a Science or related field preferred 
  • Experience in a similar environment such as warehouse, facility, industrial, etc. 
  • Proficient with Windows based applications, specifically Excel. 
  • Forklift experience is a definite asset.  
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
