Overview

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for computing specified payrolls, processing a variety of transactions, and preparing and generating a variety of forms and reports.

Shift Timings: 05:30 PM – 02:30 AM IST. Willingness to work from office and stretch when business requires

Responsibilities

  • To ensure that identified and/or assigned Payroll activities are delivered according to contract and to ensure high customer satisfaction
  •  Possess end to end understanding of US Payroll processes and how it is linked to and affected by other areas
  •  Support Onshore team from Bengaluru Office
  • Support customer on all established communication platforms (Oracle, Kronos, People Soft and ADP applications)
  • Ensure that assigned processes are delivered with the quality and within the deadlines defined in the contract
  • Follow established communication guidelines when interacting with the customer
  • Ensure delivery of services are within KPI's and SLA's agreed upon in contract
  • Ensure process guidelines are followed and met as documented
  • High quality on delivery in area of expertise
  • Participate in implementation of new processes

 

  • What will you bring in?

Proven 3 to 4 years of experience in processing US Payroll
Ability to accurately coordinate, administer and maintain weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly payroll activities, including time entry, prevailing wages, processing of adjustments, setting up earnings & deduction codes and ensuring compliance
End to end payroll knowledge (time & admin, reconciliations, tax, garnishments, reporting, off cycle payments etc.…)
Proficiency in understanding legislation related to payroll and potential changes
Ability to conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies
Ability to accurately manage and track email inquiries; including the ability to respond and resolve within 2 business days
Highly skilled in time management, organization, payroll proficiency and resolution required
Ability to support year end activities including W2 validation and distribution (Desirable)
Meet process SLAs/ metrics, productivity and quality targets within the established timelines
Raise process related issues/ concerns on time with process excellence and team lead
Consecutively report all incidents and errors in Issue Tracker, and work with relevant resources to improve deliveries where they fail
Respond to data requests and process pre-defined number of transactions as assigned.
Collate pending requests list
Escalate parked/blocked requests with reasons
Proactively help to improve processes where possible
Perform data entry and changes of employee data base
Stay updated with the process knowledge/ changes - refer to knowledge updates/ repositories to effectively process transactions
Record data relating to production statistics, end-user related notes, etc. as appropriate.
Adhere to security practices set by organization
Provide updates and submit reports related to own area of work
Be familiar with Service Level Agreements and aware of standard and non-standard requests (chargeable on-chargeable). Actively contribute to a healthy work environment

Qualifications

Knowledge Management:

  • Contribute and participate proactively in knowledge sharing activities and sessions.
  • Update Process documentation/ user manuals as appropriate for the process and communicate the changes.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer when required.
  • People/Team Management
  • Complete all mandatory training as identified.
  • Align individual goals with team objectives (work cohesively with the team).
  • Participate and contribute to organizational activities.
  • Record own attendance and time sheet related data.

Academic Background:
Bachelor’s degree or PG degree in Commerce / MBA
