Overview

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB is looking for Class 3 Chemical Cleaning Operator to join their safety conscious team! The successful candidates will be responsible for driving and operating chemical cleaning equipment in a safe and professional manner. Position may require travel away from home.

Please be advised it is mandatory for candidates to hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO safety certifications prior to starting this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Driving, operating, and maintaining chemical cleaning units;
• Transferring fluid using skid and transfer pumps;
• Operating, loading and unloading the units ( ie Hot Oilers, Water, Vac Trucks);
• Rigging the equipment and hoses in and out;
• Blending chemicals into the circulating units;
• Completing electronic pre and post trip inspections, field level risk assessments and other related paperwork;
• Comfortable working in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions;
• Performing general shop duties and laborer tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License is required;
• Valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certificates an asset (training availble);
• Previous chemical cleaning experience an asset;
• Willing to travel away from home;
• Previous experience working in refineries, plants and upgraders preferred;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
