Overview

HPC Industrial is looking for a Hydroblasting Technician near Tulsa, OK to join their safety-conscious team! The Hydroblasting Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety are the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
  • Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
  • Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to pumps, vacuum, equipment, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.
  • Perform emergency response activities including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination, etc.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.


Working Environment:

  • Plant/Refinery Environment
  • Heights/Confined Spaces

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication (written, verbal, and listening) and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in chemical plants or refineries is helpful, but not necessary.
  • Must be willing/able to work at moderate to high levels of physical exertion for extended periods.
  • Must be willing/able to work in inclement weather conditions (extreme heat/cold).
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities are a plus.


Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
