Job Description


The Director of Pricing Management (FS) is is responsible to lead and manage the company pricing strategies.  This includes making pricing decisions on major bids and large waste streams, and devising pricing strategies by line of business, geography and vertical.  The Director provides sound, logical pricing decisions as opportunities arise, playing an important role in the growth and profitability of the Field Service Division.  The Director oversees base pricing,  special pricing/ discounts, as well as Costing and SRP rate updates in system.  The Director provides feedback to the sales and marketing management team on actions to grow segments, key changes in the market, or ideas to enhance company capabilities.


  • Maintain the company’s pricing and costing tables, including the basis and rules for the tables.
  • Ensure pricing rules and strategies are communicated and enforced by the field teams.
  • Respond to requests for pricing from Field Service Group for general pricing guidance.
  • Respond to business analysts/price improvement team for pricing guidance in evaluating expiring contracts/quotes.
  • Work with the proposal team personnel on pricing for major proposals, including working with logistics personnel to analyze and strategize effective transportation schemes for these bids.
  • Continual daily review of the Quote Workbench to ensure speed of service to customers and to ensure that those with pricing rights know their roles and responsibilities and to improve profitability as well as wins. Provide constructive criticism and feedback to the people creating and/or approving quotes, and provide training on new tools.
  • Work with National Product Line VP for pricing strategy and monitoring profitability.
  • Assist in developing information system tools for measuring and managing profitability, selling strategies against major competitors, and marketing trends and competitor capacities.
  • Manage FS Pricing Manager daily activities and training.
  • Review Cost for all LEM items and update the Component system with new costs.
