Job Description


Construction Project Manager with new construction and/or mixed-use experience (2-3 years) to provide overall administrative management, technical management, and coordination of project activities in order to ensure conformance with project objectives. Candidates must have prior experience managing large commercial or industrial construction projects. The selected candidate will have profit and loss responsibility for construction projects. 


Schedule projects in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.

Bidding of projects for preparation of pre-construction budget (one bid for all accounts).

Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes as well as other regulations.

Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained.

Performs regular risk-analysis and cost forecasting and reporting for assigned projects.

Identify key construction and design components through on site audits with design and sales teams.

Plan, organize and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems.

Investigate damage, accidents or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.

Evaluate construction methods and determine cost effectiveness of plans.

Must be able to produce project plans and project updates and present them to senior management.

Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress and cost tracking reports.

Coordinates resource availability and operational needs to ensure achievement of established project goals.

Direct and supervise contractors.



Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

2-3 years commercial or industrial construction experience  

Working knowledge of site development and wood frame construction

Ability to read, analyze and interpret all types of contract documents relating to construction of property.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuels.

Ability to perform construction material takeoffs and make estimates of future needs.

Must be able to get around site and through building while under construction.

Strong analytical skills.

Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.

Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

License General Contractor

PMP or LEED Certification
