The Opportunity

Clean Harbors Red Deer, Alberta is looking for a Class 1 Van Driver to join their safety conscious team! The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Tractor Trailer Unit and a Van Trailer. The role entails hauling hazardous waste to Kimball Nebraska, and Aragonite, Utah.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Operate and drive Tractor Trailer and Van Unit;
• Responsible for hauling hazardous waste Cross Border;
• Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of equipment;
• Perform pre and post trip inspections;
• Maintain and update driver’s log book;
• Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors throughout the day;
• Drop and Swap may be a future responsibility of this role;
• Work as part of a team with Customer, Coworkers & Supervisors.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Drivers License required;
• 2+ Years of Tractor Trailer/Van Unit experience required;
• Manual Transmission Experience Required;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
• Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
• A Valid Passport, TWIC Card, or Fast Pass;
• Ability to Travel Cross Border into the United States;
• Ability to Drive Safely, and Present a Clean Driver’s Abstract;
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
