The Opportunity:

Safety-Kleen Breslau, ON Canada is seeking a Refinery Shift Supervisor. The Refinery Shift Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of plant operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations. Position includes supervision of multiple plant employees and plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the safe and efficient running of the Operations units. This includes:
• Following all safety policies and procedures.
• Ensuring operation in an environmentally responsible manner.
• Meeting stream specifications and yields.
• Ensure contractors have a current Safety Orientation.
• Review and sign work permits. This may be delegated to a qualified operator. Work permits should be prepared in advance when there is a Work Permit Request.
• Accountable for progression and training of Operators.
• Manage, review and audit safety-critical tasks such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work and gas detector calibrations

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required, 3^rd Class Stationary Engineer Ticket considered an asset;
• 10+ years of previous experience;
• Knowledge of DCS and control;
• Practical skills for distillation process;
• Practical skills for Hydrotreater process;
• First Aid and CPR;
• Written and Oral communications;
• Ability to prioritize and direct;
• Trained in Incident Command;
• Trained in Fire Fighting Techniques;
• Team builder;
• Front Level Supervisory skills;
• Can perform subordinate tasks.
