Overview

Safety-Kleen is hiring a Field Chemist based out of Brampton, Ontario. This position will be responsible for the routine and non-routine analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes;
• Analyzes laboratory samples;
• Tests samples for their chemical strengths and reports on results;
• Develops and improves chemical cleaning procedures;
• Performs research and development testing to determine the best application for successful cleaning;
• Makes cleaning recommendations based on testing results;
• Creates detailed reports and presentations as required;
• Completes on-site field testing during large scale chemical cleaning projects;
• Assists with maintaining appropriate laboratory supplies, inventory and field test kits;
• Maintains a clean and organized laboratory;
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent;
• 2+ years of Supervisory experience preferred;
• Ability to work in team environment;
• Good organization and leadership skills;
• Proficiency in Windows based computer applications;
• Demonstrates proficiency in one or more of the following specific facility operations: overseeing drum movements, incoming and outgoing shipments, any other tasks as required by leadership team.
