Overview

Clean Harbors is looking for a Military Recruiting Program Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Recruiting, the Military Recruiting Program Manager will build and manage a world-class military recruitment and retention strategy, and outreach program necessary to deliver a pipeline of future associates for Clean Harbors. The MRPM will partner with business unit Talent Acquisition teams, HR, and operations to develop, share and implement consistent best practices, processes and tools. The Military Recruiting Program Manager will help develop, deploy, and maintain these strategies and outreach programs to various branches of the military, and focus on filling critical positions throughout the North America.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements robust military recruitment and retention strategies.
• Develops and maintains relationships with military sources to continually improve sourcing opportunities.
• Partners with internal talent consultants, HRBPs, functional leaders, and other stakeholders to execute recruiting activities in support of the overall recruiting strategy.
• Partners with internal veteran employees to act as volunteer Military Relationship Managers.
• Establishes partnerships with organizations that support military hiring and transition assistance, including the US Chamber of Commerce’s “Hire our Heroes” program and other like programs.
• Works directly in a training capacity to educate the company on ways to engage veteran candidates.
• Builds reports to track the programs progress and assess where adjustments need to be implemented to improve productivity.
• Serves as a mentor to transitioning military personnel by providing guidance, direction, and insight into the Clean Harbors.
• Develops and executes process to create and organize military focused, branded recruiting collateral. Makes recommendations on the graphics and design objectives to our corporate recruiting and marketing teams.
• Serves as a mentor coordinator to transitioning military personnel by providing guidance, direction, and insight into the Clean Harbors.
• Other projects as assigned by the leadership team.

Qualifications

• 4 or more years of recruiting experience or 2+ years leading military recruiting programs.
• Candidates with 5 years of recruiting experience and 4 or more years of military service, with honorable discharge preferred.
• understanding of transportation and logistics preferred
• Must have strong, interpersonal skills and ability to connect with candidates at all levels.
• Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and documentation/record keeping skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment required
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time by car, plane, or train, overnight as required.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn employment laws and hiring practices required
