Overview

Clean Harbors in Ryley, AB location is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join their safety conscious team! This position is responsible for safely operating and maintaining the heavy equipment used in the landfill.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Operate a variety of trucks and equipment, including: lugger trucks, rock trucks, highway trucks, vacuum trucks, water trucks, skid-steers, dozers, track hoes and forklifts;
• Pump and monitor leachate systems in the landfills;
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance;
• Timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork. 

Qualifications

• Class 5 license is required;
• Previous heavy equipment operating experience is an asset (forklift, track hoes, dozers, loaders);
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
• Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
• Ability to lift 50lbs regularly throughout the day.
