Overview
Clean Harbors is looking for an Environmental Specialist Manager to work at a local customer site in York, PA. The Environmental Specialist Manager, known internally as the Field Service Supervisor will work on the 3rd shift supervising your team in supporting the execution of the client’s hazardous waste program. You will serve as the client’s main contact and primary interface with Clean Harbors daily. Strong computer skills are required for this position.
HOME BASE: York, PA
SHIFT: 3rd Shift 10 pm- 6:30 am - Monday – Friday
REQUIRED: 1-2 Years of Environmental Experience; 1-2 Years Supervisory Experience
Responsibilities
Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner always.
Establish baseline audit protocol for all new waste programs; Communicate and document scope of compliance parameters for each Project location.
Always adhere to Health and Safety Practices while on site; Communicate H&S feedback with technical Services H&S efforts upon request, including data capture, site review, and delivery of training content if needed.
Conduct facility wide compliance audits to include inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
Manage waste storage area and ensure that material is properly packaged, profiled, and labeled prior to shipment.
Meet with customers as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and to resolve any pending complaints or issues.
Manage service and emergency response projects when directed.
Understand and coordinate manpower, equipment and resources required to complete field service and emergency response projects.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must have Strong computer skills
1-2+ years of environmental experience
1-2+ years supervisory experience
B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science preferred but not required
Management experience in record keeping, supervision, planning and liability
Ability to develop and deliver training materials and programs related to environmental health, safety, and hazardous materials management
Requires sitting, standing, walking, puling and/or pushing, stooping and crouching
Requires lifting, carrying, grasping, speaking, and listening
