The Opportunity:

As a Warehouse Chemical Technician / Receiving Chemist II you will be responsible for lab pack code processing, drum receiving coding, sampling and shipping of hazardous waste materials.

Hours: 2'nd Shift. Monday - Friday. 3:00pm to 11:00pm.

  • Receives all lab pack containers and properly codes all chemicals for disposal processing.

  • Samples all incoming drums and performs basic analysis of samples following prescribed procedures.

  • Completes all paperwork associated with analysis and drum sampling.

  • Assures all drums are properly final coded for routing and billing according to CHI protocol.

  • Responsible for proper management and shipment of all drum and bulk outbound shipments.

  • Performs all shipping tasks with a working knowledge of DOT shipping protocol.

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health & Safety and Compliance protocols.

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.


  • High School Diploma or equivalency required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related science preferred

  • 2+ years of Receiving, Shipping, and/or Lab Packing experience required

  • Solid understanding of math, chemistry and chemical testing knowledge required

  • Computer skills required

  • Forklift experience is a plus

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
