The Opportunity:

HydroChemPSC is looking for an Environmental Technician (General Laborer) to join their safety conscious team out of Philadelphia, PA. Environmental Technician is responsible for the safe and proper execution of Hydrochem PSC jobs across our service line.

Essential Duties:

  • Pressure water blasting; 
  • Equipment operation (oil spill booms, manlift for equipment monitoring, Bobcats, etc.);  
  • Emergency response clean-up; 
  • Hazardous waste clean-up; 
  • Tank and other confined space cleaning; 
  • Equipment decontamination;
  • Handling of hazardous materials;
  • Completing daily worksheets, vehicle and equipment inspections, and Health & Safety requirements and permits;
  • Directing the work of Field Technicians;
  • Assisting in field sampling activities and meter calibration.

 

 Working Environment:

  • Industrial setting, refinery, petrochemical, utilities, pulp and paper mills, etc.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Must have a Valid driver’s license; 
  • 1+ years of prior experience in construction, general labor, or related field;
  • Ability and willingness to travel and/or to work on a rotating on-call basis; 
  • Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical. 


Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma / GED or equivalent experience.
