Clean Harbors Grand Prairie, AB is looking for a Shop Foreman to join their safety conscious team! You will be responsible for performing a wide variety of repairs and maintenance on all company units.

Key responsibilities

  • Take on a leadership role in providing direction and consistency to all shop employees regarding company standards/procedures;
  • Have a good understanding of the inventory process and all procedures to ensure there are consistent and accurate counts throughout the year;
  • Work closely with Branch managers to ensure customer service needs are being met;
  • Liaise with dispatch/coordinator on PM schedules and other day-to-day scheduling;
  • Maintain and track all shop-related records (i.e. employee training records);
  • Conduct weekly inspections of the shop and yard to identify any deficiencies or trends that may be present and act on them in a timely manner;
  • Be familiar with the shop’s current budget and monitor shop expenses to ensure the numbers stay within the proposed budget;
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings for all shop employees.

 What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in a shop environment or in a supervisory related role;
  • Truck and Trailer and/or Heavy Duty certification preferred;
  • Class G License with a clean driver’s abstract;
  • Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and maintaining an accurate inventory as asset;
  • Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with clients and employees;
  • Proficient computer skills;
  • May be required to work hours outside of regular schedule required.
