Annual earning potential up to $130,000 per year with overtime! **  

Our Solids Control Technician's provide exceptional customer service while operating solids control equipment on client drill sites. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Operating heavy equipment, troubleshooting and repair of minor electrical issues, assisting with the rigging up and rigging out of solids control equipment, dewatering fluid, running barite recovery systems and completing all required paperwork. HOURS: 14/7 Day Rotation (14 days on/7 days off, 12 hour days whilst working). Accommodation is provided while working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Completes all required paperwork on a daily basis
  • Manages the equipment on site and ensures it is not damaged
  • Ensures equipment is not moved prior to being ready
  • Collects data (mud weight, retort data, etc.)
  • Rigs in and rigs out solids control equipment
  • Services, repairs and maintains solids control equipment (i.e.: GR pumps, Centrifuges)
  • Troubleshoots and repairs minor electrical issues as well as any other issues that arise
  • Completes tasks associated with Dewatering/Barite Recovery
  • Performs other duties and tasks assigned by management as required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to work in the elements
  • Prior Military experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to use mobile computers
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year driving record
  • Ability to work day and night rotating shifts
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time
