The Opportunity:



HPC-Industrial, Powered by Clean Harbors is looking for a Environmental Tech III (Temporary Position) to join their safety conscious team! The Operator is repsonsible for the safe operation of quipment to complete single task jobs requiring one crew as well as turnarounds with management oversight at client sites. Successful operators are team oriented, and highly motivated. Operators receive on the job training as needed to ensure they can safely and effectively operate and maintain equipment in accordance with appropriate regulations, equipment specifications, and in line HPC Industrial company policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties:

Environmental Technicians perform a wide range of tasks, including: 

  • Pressure water blasting; 
  • Equipment operation (pumps, vacuums, oil spill booms, jackhammers, Bobcats, etc.);  
  • Emergency response clean-up; 
  • Hazardous waste clean-up; 
  • Tank and other confined space cleaning; 
  • Equipment decontamination;
  • Handling of hazardous materials;
  • Completing daily worksheets, vehicle and equipment inspections, and Health & Safety requirements and permits;
  • Directing the work of Field Technicians;
  • Assisting in field sampling activities and meter calibration.



Working Environment:

  • Industrial setting, refinery, petrochemical, utilities, pulp and paper mills, etc.


Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; 
  • Valid driver’s license; 
  • 2+ years of prior experience in construction, general labor, or related field;
  • Knowledge of RCRA requirements/regulations; 
  • Ability and willingness to travel and/or to work on a rotating on-call basis; 
  • Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical. 


Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
