The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors Baltimore, MD is looking for a Lab Technician I to join their safety conscious team. The Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory analyses at EAS following standard operating procedures. Basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance will be assigned by Manager / Supervisor. Laboratory Technician I is also responsible for any training and/or certifications required.

Key Responsibilities:  
  • Perform testing and approve inbound, in-process, and outbound analysis
  • Perform tank analyses to verify product specification
  • Understand and follow Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures
  • Completes all paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion
  • Basic troubleshooting of the instrumentation
  • Preventative Maintenance on the instrumentation assigned
  • Housekeeping and waste disposal
  • Prepare basic solutions and standards
  • Works under the direct supervision of more senior members of the laboratory
  • Any task assigned at the discretion of Management


  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry preferred
  • 1+ years experience in the field of chemical analysis required
  • Wet chemistry, GC or ICP instrument experience preferred
  • Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa
