The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors in Fridley, MN is looking for an Environmental Waste Supervisor  to join their safety conscious team! You will serve as the client’s main contact and primary interface with Clean Harbors daily. The Environmental Supervisorwill work between two locations in Fridley and Chaska MN. The Environmental Waste Supervisor is responsible for the tasks associated with handling, segregating, packing, inspecting, and shipping all chemical hazardous and nonhazardous waste in accordance with our company policies and procedures. Outstanding customer service is a must. Computer skills are required.


HOME BASE: Fridley, Minneapolis


SHIFT:   Monday, Tuesday and Friday – 8:00 am – 4:00 pm - Fridley MN

Wednesday 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm -Chaska MN

Thursday 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Chaska MN

Saturday 8:00 am-12:00 pm – Chaska MN

REQUIRED: 1-2 years waste disposal or Chemistry , Driver’s License and Vehicle

Key Responsibilities: 

•Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

•Prepares computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications;

•Performs inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;

•Inspects storage area for leaks or spills;

•Inspects drums for compliance with labeling regulations;

•Collects, segregates, and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;

•Samples and profiles of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing;

•Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds;

•Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.


 What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

•High School Diploma or Equivalent required;

•Bachelor’s in Chemistry or Environmental Science preferred;

•1-2 years of hazardous waste handling experience (will substitute for degree);

•Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
