The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors in Seattle, WA is looking for a Regional Finance Manager. The Finance Manager role is an important role in the business unit finance department.  Key responsibilities include providing financial leadership and support for business segment and segment leadership.  Emphasis is placed on financial accounting and controls, as well as value-added analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and acting in a safe manner at all time
  • Providing financial leadership and support for business segment and segment leadership
  • Provide value-added analysis and reporting to segment leadership to help drive profitable growth in the business and achieve business targets
  • Drive financial planning and forecasting process within area of responsibility
  • Complete decision support work to ensure sound decision-making within the business segment
  • Preparation of business unit financial statements on monthly basis for business and finance teams
  • Address accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting results
  • Maintenance of business unit financial statements
  • Prepare journal entries to ensure accuracy of financial statements
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including support for balances as well as change vs. prior quarters and prior year
  • Implement and improve accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Experience in finance and accounting functions in a medium to large sized company with 7-10 years of experience overall.
  • Possess general accounting experiences and skills; cost accounting experience preferred
  • Proven information systems/accounting software and Excel skills
  • Demonstrated skills to include:  Analytical, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or CPA preferred
