As a Warehouse Chemical Technician / Receiving Chemist II you will be responsible for lab pack code processing, drum receiving coding, sampling and shipping of hazardous waste materials.
Hours: 1st Shift
Receives all lab pack containers and properly codes all chemicals for disposal processing.
Samples all incoming drums and performs basic analysis of samples following prescribed procedures.
Completes all paperwork associated with analysis and drum sampling.
Assures all drums are properly final coded for routing and billing according to CHI protocol.
Responsible for proper management and shipment of all drum and bulk outbound shipments.
Performs all shipping tasks with a working knowledge of DOT shipping protocol.
Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health & Safety and Compliance protocols.
Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
High School Diploma or equivalency required
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related science preferred
2+ years of Receiving, Shipping, and/or Lab Packing experience required
Solid understanding of math, chemistry and chemical testing knowledge required
Computer skills required
Forklift experience is a plus
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
