The Opportunity:

Our team is hiring a Distillation Process Operator, internally titled as a Processing Operator II for our Baltimore, MD facility.

MUST have a background in chemical distillation operations as well as experience working with high pressure boilers.

Experience loading/unloading tanker trailers is also a plus. You will be responsible for general warehouse tasks including loading and unloading packaged waste materials, sampling product, shipping and receiving containerized waste materials, data entry and shipment logging, etc. Some hazardous material knowledge/experience is preferred.

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Receives all containers, verifies counts and sizes of received loads and properly codes all waste for disposal processing
  • Ship and Receive, and process containerized waste and product
  • Confirms that all loads are properly and accurately coded for routing and billing according to protocol
  • Ensures all containers are assigned the proper disposal process and/or outbound profile
  • Moves containers from staging area to proper facility storage areas
  • Containerize product for customer
  • Sample inbound waste for processing
  • Maintain housekeeping standards
  • Maintain log books and computer records
  • Operate various equipment
  • Maintain environmental compliance

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Previous experience in warehouse and/or lab packing required
  • Previous hazardous material experience is preferred
  • Ability and willingness to use a respirator
  • Basic welding certification is an asset
  • Forklift/Scissor lift experience preferred
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Proficient with Windows based applications is an asset
