InSite Technician - OR_Clackamas

Job Description

The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors is currently seeking a Environmental Technician to work onsite at our client location in Corvallis, OR. The successful candidate will be responsible for segregating, identifying and packaging waste; drum handling and staging of waste pick-ups. Forklift experience helpful but not required (will train). Additional responsibilities may include decontamination jobs, chemical delivery and assisting with weekend household hazardous waste events. (Also rotational weekend tank inspections).

Key Responsibilities:  

• Ensures at Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Conducts chemical bulking/consolidation;
• Packages waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
• Ensures work area maintained in a neat and orderly manners;
• Participates in spill response on customer’s site;
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance;
• Safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles;
• Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• 1+ years of previous hazardous waste experience preferred;
• Ability to use handheld computer devices preferred;
• Valid Driver’s license, clean 3-Year MVR required;
• HAZWOPER certification an asset.
