This position is responsible for analyzing samples, operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation, documenting test results, managing laboratory waste, and ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies, laboratory procedures, and environmental regulations.<br><br>M - F - 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM<br><br>Pay - $20 - $25 hr<br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br><br><ul><li>Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses following laboratory procedures and safety standards. </li><li>Accurately document test results, calibration records, run logs, and other laboratory documentation. </li><li>Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation. </li><li>Ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs, chemical hygiene plans, and quality control procedures. </li><li>Properly manage and dispose of laboratory waste in accordance with environmental regulations. </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked laboratory environment. </li><li>Review and remain current on laboratory SOPs and complete required training. </li><li>Assist with inventory monitoring and communicate supply needs. </li><li>Train and mentor new laboratory employees as assigned. </li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as needed.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><strong>Qualifications</strong><br><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field preferred (equivalent experience considered). </li><li>3-5 years of laboratory experience performing chemical analysis. </li><li>Strong understanding of chemistry principles, laboratory techniques, and chemical testing methods. </li><li>Experience operating, calibrating, and maintaining analytical laboratory equipment. </li><li>Knowledge of OSHA regulations and laboratory safety practices. </li><li>Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. </li><li>Computer proficiency with experience maintaining laboratory documentation and records. </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment. </li><li>OSHA 24/40-hour and DOT training preferred. </li></ul><br>Clean Harbors has a commitment to excellence deeply rooted in a strong sense of tradition.
