{"tool":"get_job","result":{"requisitionId":"163084","client":"Clean Harbors Corporate - USA","title":"Chemical Engineer- Environmental Compliance","description":"<strong>We Build with Passion- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE Incineration </strong>unit is seeking an<strong> Chemical Engineer- Environmental Compliance focus </strong>is responsible for working with the Compliance Manager to sustain and improve the facility compliance program by meeting all facility permit requirements, maintaining facility records, assisting in facility inspections and compliance reviews, reviewing and interpreting state and federal regulations, and achieving all agency reporting deadlines. <strong>45 hours, Monday-Friday, start time 7 am.</strong><br><br><strong>*Updated resume, including most recent employer is required for consideration*</strong><br><br><strong>Why Work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive wages</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment</li><li>Group 401K with company matching component </li><li>Own Part of the Company with our Employee Stock Purchase Plan</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.</li><li>Assist the Compliance Manager with the preparation of regulatory/monitoring reports, permit revisions and updates, and RCRA/OSHA facility training modules.</li><li>Conduct on-site inspections, as requested by the Compliance Manager.</li><li>Review and manage facility compliance records as required.</li><li>Review and revise CAD P&IDs for accuracy and updates for various facility programs.</li><li>Assist in quarterly ambient sampling for soils, rainfall, air, etc. and review laboratory results for quality assurance.</li><li>Notify Compliance Manager of incidents/accidents and assist with maintaining facility incident and corrective action records.</li><li>Conduct tours of the facility to provide an overview of facility operation to customers and regulatory agencies, as directed by the Compliance Manager.</li><li>Oversee radiation safety program at the facility while functioning as Radiation Safety Officer.</li><li>Review facility permits to gain an understanding of the permit conditions/limitations and assist in updating and submitting permits as needed.</li><li>Keep abreast of the regulations/regulatory requirements by reviewing corporate compliance Q & A summaries describing regulatory changes.</li><li>Perform quality control and compliance reviews of reports, facility processes, and data.</li><li>Answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner and direct inquiries to appropriate parties as necessary.</li><li>Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management and as required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>HS Diploma or equivalent- required</li><li><strong>Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Chemical)</strong></li><li>Ability to work in team environment</li><li>Knowledge of pumps, fluid transfer, and control systems </li><li>Process simulation experience preferred (ASPEN, HYSYS, ChemCAD)</li><li>Experience or desire to gain experience in operations environment</li><li>Ability to analyze data in Excel, Python, or other applications to make informed recommendations</li><li>Related experience, such as operations engineering, project management or process engineering </li><li>Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, or computer-generated reports</li><li>Mechanically inclined </li><li>Valid Driver's License </li><li>Punctuality and attendance </li><li>Respirator fit test upon hire- clean shaven face required (mustache okay!)</li><li>Background check, drug screen and physical- required</li><li><strong>Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. </strong><strong>We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time, including F1-OPT work authorization.</strong></li></ul><br><strong>*Updated resume, including most recent employer is required for consideration*</strong><br><br><strong>Join our team today!
