This position will be supporting the execution of various client environmental management programs. The Hazardous Waste Program Manager serves as the client's main contact and primary interface with Clean Harbors daily. They are responsible for and manage the client's hazardous waste program. <br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>$65-$75k salary plus a operations bonus plan</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment.</li><li>Group 401K with company matching component.</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement.</li><li>Positive and safe work environments.</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;</li><li>Oversees waste activities at a group of generating locations;</li><li>Is the main contact for waste management/minimization issues;</li><li>Generates waste labels and assures containers are properly marked and labeled;</li><li>Manages all aspects of shipments of waste off the respective sites;</li><li>Ensures overall compliance and Health and Safety;</li><li>Ensures that quality service is being provided;</li><li>Ensures all waste collected is stored and disposed of in compliance with laws and regulations;</li><li>Ensures no waste is stored beyond 90 days;</li><li>Performs daily inspections of 90-day storage areas and 90-day pads when visiting the site;</li><li>Creates profiles for new wastes;</li><li>Creates associated manifests and LDRs for waste shipments;</li><li>Reviews facility waste receiving reports to identify potential issues;</li><li>Prepares required reports<strong>.</strong></li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's in chemistry, biology, or environmental science preferred;</li><li>2+ years of hazardous waste experience;</li><li>Familiarity with regulatory state requirements of Small and Large Quantity Generators. </li><li>Attention to detail, able to take and follow direction, and to perform multiple tasks</li><li>Ability to interface with customers</li><li>Valid Driver's license</li></ul><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br><br><ul><li>DOT knowledge and dispatching/ logistics experience </li><li>Leadership and supervisory knowledge</li><li>RCRA/OSHA knowledge</li></ul><br><strong>Clean Harbors Technical Services</strong><br><br><ul><li>Waste Disposal - Comprehensive disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste at Company-owned facilities</li><li>Recycling Services - Extensive recycling, reuse and reclamation options for materials such as solvents, chemicals, oil and electrical equipment</li><li>Chemical Packing - Safe, efficient handling and disposal of the widest range of chemicals, including reactives and compressed gases</li><li>Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Services - HHW collection programs of all types and sizes, facilitated by Clean Harbors expert personnel </li></ul><br>Clean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer. <br><br>Clean Harbors is committed to providing access, equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment, its services, programs, and activities.
