RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform tank transfer operations following site procedures and safety protocols
- Load water trucks and support daily plant operations as needed
- Assist with feed preparation activities and processing of flow bins in roll-off operations
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, telehandlers, extended boom forklifts, and loaders
- Inspect equipment prior to use and report any mechanical or safety concerns
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping standards
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with operations personnel and supervisors to support workflow efficiency
- Complete additional general labor and operational support tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Chemical and Hazardous Waste experience preferred
- 6+ months forklift experience preferred
- Mechanically inclined is a plus!
- Able to follow direction and take initiative
- Must work well in a team
- Ability to work in adverse conditions (heat & cold)
- Must be comfortable wearing proper PPEs
- Must be fitted for a respirator and clean shaven
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs, climb ladders, stoop, bend, shovel, sweep and stand for long periods
