{"tool":"get_job","result":{"requisitionId":"160821","client":"Clean Harbors Corporate - USA","title":"Yard Driver","description":"The <strong>Yard Driver </strong>for our <strong>Baltimore, MD facility will be responsible for moving trailers and equipment within a warehouse yard, distribution center, or shipping facility</strong>. <br><br><strong>Pay: $23</strong><br><br><strong>Shift: 1st 7am-330pm</strong><br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive pay and benefits</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment</li><li>Group 401K with company matching component</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement</li><li>Positive and safe work environments</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career</li></ul><br><strong>Key Skills Needed</strong><br><br><ul><li>CDL (not required)</li><li>Strong driving and backing skills</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Good communication</li><li>Ability to work in fast-paced environments</li><li>Safety-focused mindset</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br><br><ul><li><strong>Trailer, Tanker, and Can(Roll-off) Movement</strong></li><li>Move loaded and empty trailers, tankers, and cans(roll-off) between docks, staging areas, and yard parking areas</li><li>Position equipment at warehouse doors, operating pads, and staging areas for loading/unloading</li><li>Shuttle equipment between different buildings or staging areas</li><li><strong>Yard Organization</strong></li><li>Keep the yard arranged in an orderly and efficient layout</li><li>Place equipment in assigned spots based on schedules or priorities</li><li>Ensure easy access for incoming and outgoing trucks</li><li><strong>Equipment Operation</strong></li><li>Operate yard trucks (spotter trucks/terminal tractors) safely</li><li>Perform basic equipment checks before and after use</li><li>Report mechanical issues or damages immediately</li><li><strong>Dock, Tanker, Can (Roll-off) Support</strong></li><li>Assist all dock and operating processor workers by delivering trailers, tankers, and cans when needed</li><li>Ensure trailers, tankers, and cans (roll-off) are properly secured and aligned at the dock, operating pad, and or staging areas</li><li>Check that brakes, chocks, and locks are correctly applied</li><li><strong>Documentation & Communication</strong></li><li>Track equipment locations using yard systems or paperwork</li><li>Communicate with department managers, supervisors, leads, warehouse staff, and drivers</li><li>Record movement logs and equipment status</li><li><strong>Safety Compliance</strong></li><li>Follow OSHA and company safety rules</li><li>Drive at safe speeds within the yard</li><li>Watch for pedestrians, forklifts, and other hazards</li><li>Secure loads and verify trailer condition before moving</li><li><strong>Inspection Duties</strong></li><li>Inspect trailers, tankers, and cans for damage, leaks, or safety concerns</li><li>Check lights, tires, doors, and seals</li><li>Report any issues before trailers, tankers, and or cans are loaded or shipped</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><strong>What does it take to work at Clean Harbors</strong>?<br><br><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent required;</li><li>Must be 18 years or older;</li><li>1+ Years of related experience;</li><li>Fork lift experience preferred (Not Required);</li><li>Ability to use computer;</li><li>Ability to lift 50 or more pounds;</li></ul><br><strong>Clean Harbors</strong> company, has a commitment to excellence deeply rooted in a strong sense of tradition.
