Coordinate the offload and perform the offloading of tankers of high temp asphalt into rail cars. Oversight of a team of 2-3 technician-level employees. Work with the transportation team and the East Chicago facility to ensure effective planning of inbound loaded tankers to ensure refinery operations are not interrupted. <strong>Rail and Tanker knowledge dealing with liquids is a must!</strong><br><br><strong>Shift: 1st 7am-5pm</strong><br><br><strong>Pay: $80-$85K</strong><br><br><strong>Why work for Safety-Kleen?</strong><br><br> <ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Leader in environmental products and services</li><li>Competitive pay and benefits</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days</li><li>401K and stock purchase plan</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement</li><li>Positive and safe work environments</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Performs supervision of daily truck to rail transloading operation hot asphault products. </li><li>Supervises and mentors' employees in handling hot material that can lead to potential employee burn hazards. </li><li>Training and development of new hires.</li><li>Following up to ensure they are trained properly and signed off </li><li>Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's) annually and score satisfactorily on quizzes.</li><li>Acts as the recognized subject matter expert in their area(s) of responsibility.</li><li>Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and all other site-specific policies and procedures and holds employees accountable when they do not.</li><li>Ensures that supervised operations/ employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.</li><li>Works under the direction of the Facilities Operations Manager or equivalent.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in their areas of responsibility.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>High School or equivalent </li><li>3+ years supervisory type experience in an industrial environment (Petro-Chemical exp is a plus!)</li><li>Experience managing larger teams preferred</li><li>Strong leadership skills</li><li>Experience writing HOTWORK permits is a plus!</li><li><strong>Rail and Tanker knowledge dealing with liquids is a must!</strong></li><li>Ability to streamline and improve processes</li><li>Must work well under pressure and pivot as needed</li><li>Excellent communication skills written and verbal</li><li>Strong documentation and organizational skills</li><li>Computer literate</li><li>Proficient MS Office Suite - Word, Excel and Outlook</li><li>Proven problem solver</li><li>Change management expérience a plus !</li><li>Excellent organizational skills.</li><li>Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's) annually and score satisfactorily on quizzes.</li><li>Proficiency in Windows based applications.</li><li>Knowledge of scanning applications, EOM scanning SOP's, VPI / Pick sheets</li><li>Proficiency in multiple site-specific plant operations.
