This position focuses on fabricating and welding hazardous waste transportation containers in a controlled, safety-first environment. You'll work primarily with carbon steel using brand new machine tools.<br><br><strong>Why Work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive pay (range determined by company policy)</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits after 30 days</li><li>401(k) with company match and Employee Stock Purchase Plan</li><li>Paid training, tuition reimbursement, and career growth opportunities</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings</li><li>Operate CNC press Brake, CNC Roller, CNC hydraulic plate shear, CNC plasma table, CNC bandsaw (training provided on each specific machine)</li><li>Ability to teach skills to others</li><li>Safely operate a forklift for material handling</li><li>Wear appropriate safety equipment based on a complete analysis of the job site and tasks being performed, including a respirator if required</li><li>Layout, cut and fit, utilizing measuring tapes, bandsaws, grinders, hoists and assembly fixtures to fabricate assemblies precisely</li><li>Ability to safely set up, operate a hydraulic plate shear, and press brake (preferred)</li><li>Set up welding equipment for weld procedures</li><li>Maintain compliance with Clean Harbors safety protocols</li><li>Keep work area clean and organized; report equipment issues promptly</li><li>Perform periodic mild maintenance tasks such as emptying / unloading chip bins, greasing fittings, cleaning and routine equipment inspections (training provided).</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Forklift Certification (preferred)</li><li>High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree preferred</li><li>CAD skills preferred</li><li>MIG welding skills (basic) preferred</li><li>Minimum 1+ year machine tool experience; trade school or apprenticeship preferred</li><li>Strong safety focus and attention to detail</li><li>Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)</li></ul><br><strong>40-years of sustainability in action. </strong>At Clean Harbors, our mission is to create a safer, cleaner environment through the treatment, recycling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
