This includes operating pumps, valves, and processing equipment to move, treat, and store materials. The role also covers key tasks such as handling filter drums, performing solid bulking, managing hazardous waste in 10-day accumulation areas. Operators are expected to follow strict environmental, health, and safety protocols<br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br><br><strong>Product & Material Handling:</strong><br><ol><li>Load and unload bulk liquids and solids from railcars, tank trucks, and storage tanks.</li><li>Operate pumps, meters, valves, and other equipment to safely transfer materials.</li><li>Transfer materials between tanks and containers while ensuring proper blending and compatibility.</li></ol><br><br><strong>Hazardous Waste & Environmental Operations:</strong><br><ol><li>Safely handle and transfer <strong>filter drums</strong>, ensuring they are properly sealed, labeled, and stored.</li><li>Perform <strong>solid bulking</strong> of compatible waste streams according to waste profiles and compatibility charts.</li><li>Manage <strong>10-day hazardous waste accumulation areas</strong>, ensuring containers are dated, inspected, and shipped within regulatory timelines.</li><li>Properly label and track all hazardous waste materials and maintain compliance with RCRA standards.</li></ol><br><strong>Safety & Compliance:</strong><br><ol><li>Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE usage, and confined space entry protocols.</li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and company safety/environmental standards.</li><li>Respond to spills and emergencies promptly and appropriately.</li><li>Participate in required safety training, drills, and meetings.</li></ol><br><strong>Equipment Operation & Maintenance:</strong><br><ol><li>Operate forklifts, drum handlers, hand tools, and computerized control panels.</li><li>Inspect and perform routine maintenance on equipment; report defects or safety hazards.</li><li>Perform daily and pre-operation inspections, including checklists and start-up logs.</li></ol><br><strong>Administrative & Recordkeeping Duties:</strong><br><ol><li>Complete operational documentation, including offloading checklists, tank transfers, water content logs, and cooker operation logs.</li><li>Maintain proper documentation for inspections, waste transfers, and treatment operations.</li><li>Accurately report data into internal systems and ensure logs are updated in real-time.</li></ol><br><strong>Facility Maintenance & Support:</strong><br><ol><li>Keep terminal areas-including tank farms and drum storage-clean and organized.</li><li>Support maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and facility upgrades.</li><li>Assist with special projects, inventory, and audits as needed.</li></ol><br>Responsibilities<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Loading and unloading tankers.</li><li>Maintaining Tank farm inventories.</li><li>Moving trucks around yard.</li><li>Testing oil samples that come in the door.</li><li> Help with cleaning the tank farm, warehouse, and yard.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><strong>What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?</strong><br><ul><li>HS Diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Ability to drive trucks within facility.</li><li>Forklift skills preferred (Not Required).</li><li>Tank Farm experience preferred (Not Required).</li></ul><br>Clean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer. <br><br>Clean Harbors is committed to providing access, equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment, its services, programs, and activities.
